Simple Pleasures in Life

Drinking tea on a rainy day on the stairs outside the home with a friend, talking sweet non sense...!! watching the clouds move on their silent sojourn,and smiling at the trembling leaves laden with the rain drops...!!

Go on a long walk with a friend or sit by a lakeside and chit chat...

Play with a puppy like a small kid , oblivious of who is watching...!

When a friend lets u know of a good news and you are the first one to share it with them...

Eating good home food in a foreign country.....

Listen to a favorite song being played somewhere else when you just thought of it...!

Look into your friend's eyes and they understand what you feel...

Just sit beside a very dear friend and remain silent and not having to give any explanations to your mistakes and they take it fine....

Just hug your mom, however old you may be and feel content and relieved of all the tensions in the world...

Have siblings with whom you can fight in your childhood and when you grow up, discuss the world with them and they are there for you forever...

Have friends who miss you when you are not there and wait to see you when you are coming to see you after you have been away

Have some friends with whom you may not talk everyday , but u know they are there for u...

Find a old school friend in some social website and talk to them after say 10 years to catch up on each other's lives..!!

A smile when your friend is slightly possessive on you...

A smile when your friend takes liberty to do something you like , even if you have not asked for it...

A smile when somebody gets you something , jus because they thought you would love it...

Sitting on the side lower seat of the Indian trains and keep watching the trees rushing past you in a frenzied blurry...

A hug a friend gives when you really want it, making you feel good...

An embrassing moment that your friend remembers and teases you...

the list goes on...

and probably I will add more...

Inflated Egos

EGO....!! The three letter word that is responsible for most of the problems in the world , in relations, in businesses, at work... let me put in one word..." The entire world"...!

Everyone has an ego.. it also keeps the world running.. But some of them have inflated egos... giving rise to many GRE words, Egoistic, egotistic, egocentric etc....

What makes people think they are very great than many others that they dont hesistate to show others down whenever they get a chance? Is it what is called " the illusion of grandeur"  which is a psychological disorder..

Success always gives pride and in most, it goes to the head, wanting them to consider themselves as demi-gods.. Pride and Ego in successful people, when tolerable is  pardonable.. but what of those millions of people who do not have anything of boast about, except an over sized head to consider themselves great????

What makes me go on this tirade ? Jus a few experiences with a lot of egoistic people in the past 15 months... People who think whatever they say is right... People who want always their way done.. people who have only the intelligence of a tea bag , but think themselves as the rulers of the world...!
